We have all seen it: that car or truck on the side of the road with smoke coming from the hood. We all have the same thought process, hoping the driver is okay, that they will be getting help soon, but also, “What would I do if that were me?” Well, let us give you some tips to ensure you feel better the next time you happen to drive past this situation, or come upon this misfortune yourself. Maybe you will even be able to help 0ut that stranger on the side of the road!
1. On hot days, keep your eye on the temperature gauge. As you notice the gauge leaning towards the H, which stands for hot, shut off your air conditioner and open your windows, this will decrease the load on your engine, and will help cool it off.
