How to Use the Kick Sensor in the 2021 Venza

Toyota Kick SensorCONVENIENCE AT YOUR FEET With Toyota Kick Sensor, you can open your vehicle with just a wave of the foot. No more fumbling around for keys: As long as you've got your Smart Key on you, you can easily open the rear liftgate (and the side sliding doors on the Sienna) with your hands full. 1. Ensure your key fob is within range of the vehicle In order for the rear door to open, the keyless entry device must be within a range of the vehicle's sensor. However, there's no need to remove the fob from your pocket or purse. 2. Kick your foot gently under the center of the car Kick your foot directly under the sensor without touching the vehicle. The sensor will pick up on your movement and open the door by itself! Sienna only: To open either of the sliding side doors, find the sensor icon on the side sill and kick your foot under it. 3. Step away from the rear of the vehicle Remain cautious of the door opening in front of you. Keep your head and limbs far enough away from the vehicle to prevent injury during this process. Also, ensure that other passengers are clear of the door before attempting to open it. 4. Repeat step two to close the door When you're ready to close the trunk, simply repeat step two by kicking your foot under the center of the car.

Inspect Your Tires At Least Once A Month, The condition of your tires can mean the difference between a close call and a collision

Checked Your Tires Lately? The condition of your tires can mean the difference between a close call and a collision Improper inflation and unnoticed tire damage can lead to blowouts. Even undamaged tires with half their tread may lose traction on wet surfaces and hydroplane. THE PENNY TEST Tread depth is measured in 32nds of an inch. Tread depth on new tires typically measures 10/32 inches or 11/32 inches (about a third of an inch), while trucks, SUVs, or winter tires may have deeper treads. When tires reach 2/32 inches, the U.S. Department of Transportation recommends replacing them. more To check whether you've hit the 2/32-inch mark, use the penny test as follows: • Place a penny in a tire tread groove with Lincoln's head face first in the groove. • Check if Lincoln's face on the penny disappears between the grooves. • If it does, your tread is still above 2/32 inches. If you can see all of Lincoln's face, it's time to replace your tire. • Make sure to repeat with all tires and in various places on each tire. There are a few other ways for drivers to check tire tread depth, including using a tread depth gauge and tread wear indicator bars.
