Safety Features
4Runner’s standard Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) * with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) * helps you identify vehicles that might be in a blind spot. When you use your turn signal and BSM detects a vehicle, it warns you with a flashing indicator light on the appropriate outside mirror. The Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provides audible and visual indicators to help warn you of approaching vehicles when you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking spot.
