Lease End Options
Turn In Your ToyotaToyota Financial Services (TFS) has made returning your current vehicle straight forward with a few simple steps:
STEP 1. Give TFS a call before your lease ends at 1-800-286-0652. Our Lease-End Specialists will review the details of your lease agreement with you, such as your originating dealer information and actual lease-end date. If we do not hear from you, we will contact you.
STEP 2. Assess your vehicle's condition using the Wear and Use Guidelines. Unrepaired damages that exceed normal wear and use that are not repaired may result in charges at the end of your lease. Review your mileage allowance to assess any excess mileage charges at lease end.
1STEP 3. Make any necessary repairs. Passport Toyota may be able to offer help with cost-effective repairs if needed. Making repairs upfront may save you a bill later on and may even be covered by your insurance policy. Be certain to keep all of your receipts for any repairs made and see your insurance policy for coverage.
STEP 4. Schedule an appointment with your originating dealer or Passport Toyota to return your Toyota.STEP 5. Return your Toyota. Take your cleaned vehicle to Passport Toyota by the lease-end date. You will be required (by law) to turn in a completed
Odometer Statement at this time. Download free
Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™ to view PDF files. Remember to bring all keys, Owner's Manuals, and any original equipment removed from your vehicle to the appointment (cargo cover, headrests, spare tire, etc.). An independent inspection company will perform a final inspection after you turn in your vehicle.
STEP 6. Make sure any outstanding lease payments have been made and cancel any electronic payments. You are responsible for any past due payments, late fees, property tax and any other charges that may be due under your lease agreement. You are also responsible for any excess wear and use fees, excess mileage charges, and disposition fee (on lease contracts signed after January 3, 2011) when you return your Toyota at lease termination. The disposition fee will be waived on the existing lease for customers who return to lease or finance their next eligible vehicle with TFS through the Toyota dealer.
1Once your independent inspection is complete, charges may be due if your vehicle surpassed normal wear and use and/or mileage limits. When permissible, your security deposit will be applied to pay or reduce the charges owed and you will be billed for any remaining amount due (your lease and applicable law may vary this process). As set forth in your lease agreement, these charges, along with any remaining liability for unpaid citations and taxes, etc are payable to Toyota Financial Services.
2Please refer to your lease agreement for a description of your rights and obligations upon termination of your lease.
