It's almost impossible to believe that it was only a year ago that Toyota was shaken, both in a figurative and literal sense when Japan was struck by back to back natural disasters. Both production and inventory were knocked down, and thus Toyota was unable to meet consumer demand. These drops ultimately led to a drop in sales.While, Toyota and dealerships such as ours did a pretty good job keeping their heads above water during the taxing time, we are sure that there are some that felt like they were drowning during such difficult times. And to think now, just one year later, Toyota is once again standing strong.

?That's not to say we didn't think the Japanese automaker couldn't get back on their feet and reign strong again, it just seemed like a monumental feat for any automaker to accomplish so quickly. And with that being said, we are simply thrilled by the comeback. 

So you might be wondering how this affect your the consumer, right?

Well, really there are a couple different levels. Probably most important to you would be that operations levels are back to normal so inventory is up again, meaning you have your choice of  new Toyotas to pick from

Secondly, from a business point of view, it means more than just showrooms full of shiny new Toyota vehicles. It also comes in the form of increased marketing efforts and and a jump in consumer engagement - as well as a solid increase in sales.

Some industry forecasters peg a year over jump of 90 percent. That's 60-percent more than the growth projected for the overall industry. From a competitive standpoint, this puts Toyota in a very good position to pull ahead of arch rival, Ford.
