Parking in Manhattan is a nightmare of biblical proportions - at least if you don't drive a Scion iQ, available at Passport Toyota. Owners of the tiny two-door from Toyota's off-shoot auto maker are getting free parking in The Big Apple.
Central Parking of New York has partnered with Scion dealers to not only help launch the 2012 Scion iQ, but under "iPark Freely" new customers get six months of parking FREE at over 50 Central Parking locations in NYC, Jersey City, Newark, and Hoboken. Since six months of parking in those areas can range around $2000-3000, that's no small promotion.
Free parking locations are can be selected by the iQ customer during account registration, during the purchase of their vehicle.
"Through this promotion, iQ drivers save on monthly parking fees that can cost as much as $500 per month in the midtown Manhattan area," said Vincent Raguseo, VP of Marketing, Central Parking. "This is another example of how Central Parking is working with partners to provide consumers with innovative value-add parking programs," he added.1
Scion iQ's small stature makes parking it at any lot a piece of cake. If you live out in Brooklyn, fear not - parallel parking in these little rides is so easy, even a new driver could do it.
The all new Scion iQ starts at $15,625. We wouldn't be shocked if people buy one to JUST have six months of free parking in Manhattan.
